What, Me Worry?

So it seems as if we're going to be paying for this bit of governmental sleight-of-hand whether we want to or not, right?
 Well, we'll see.
I have no mortgage on the line,( I'm renting) but I do have approximately $8,000 in credit card debt.
Let's suppose that congress decides to rip off the taxpayers again with this outright abuse of their Constitutional authority, but is unable to ram it through; what happens next?
Well, some people are going to lose "their" homes, for sure, which means some of will lose their jobs as well.
Some banks will go bankrupt.
Some financial speculators will lose their assets.
Others will lose their collateral,(if any) maybe even myself.
Because I'm renting, it's highly unlikely that I will lose my home, and if I lose my car, I'm within walking distance of my job, so I keep that too.
My wife commutes, but if we go down to 1 car payment, she'll be able to afford to drive, so no big deal.
The lender isn't likely to repo my other car and remove any possibility of getting it's money back; in fact, they stand to take a pretty big hit if they do, and considering that they are already hanging by their fingernails, they'll be far happier if we continue to send in our payments, even if they are late.
Late payment is still better than no payment, and our combined incomes are more than adequate to pay off our debts within 1 year, so we're going to weather this no matter what.
It will take some frugal decision-making, but we're fine as long as we budget and neither of us dies (although even if that happens- we're both insured pretty good).
So I'm fully prepared for the bailout to fail, in fact, I hope it does.
We have plenty of food stocked up in the cupboards, several trees on the property and a fire pit to cook and boil water in, a big dog that loves us very much and would be only too happy to let me know if looters show up, and a shotgun with more than enough ammo to handle interlopers in groups less than 10.
I'm planning on increasing the number of firearms, and teaching my wife and kids how to use them in the event it would become necessary. I'm also on the lookout for the 1962 Boy Scout manual, which is an incredibly useful survivor's guide.
So let the socialists do their worst, I'll get by just fine, thank you.
In the meantime, I'll be very picky in the voting booth, and very vocal in my criticism of the shallow and the weak whenever they seek election in my district.
It must be said that I will teach my kids (and anyone else who will listen) that democrats are now the enemies of liberty in America, and are NOT to be compromised with, but defeated, degraded, ridiculed and shamed, until they remember what this country- the greatest experiment of governance and society in the history of man, owes them.
Nothing.
